In Week 3, EU Society members attended a special lecture organized in collaboration with the EU Centre. The session featured Professor Marcin Piątkowski from Kozminski University in Warsaw, Poland, who delivered a lecture titled “The Future of Poland’s Economic Miracle in the New Geopolitical Environment.”

During the lecture, Professor Piątkowski discussed Poland’s remarkable economic growth and transformation over recent decades, as well as the challenges and opportunities the country faces within today’s changing geopolitical landscape. Topics included European economic development, regional security, international cooperation, and the impact of global political shifts on Poland and the European Union.

The lecture provided members with valuable academic and professional insights into contemporary European economic and political issues. Students also had the opportunity to engage with the speaker, ask questions, and participate in discussions following the presentation.

This event offered members a unique chance to learn directly from an experienced European scholar and further deepened the society’s exploration of this semester’s theme surrounding European security, politics, and international affairs.
